Dear Peacemaker,

We all know that world Peace will only happen when we have Peace as individuals.

In his book "Peace is Every Step - The Path of Mindfulness in Everyday Life" Thich Nhat Hanh says that one should have something in one's life that brings us back to awareness, a trigger. For me the Peace badge is just that, a reminder to dwell in mindfulness.

A Peace Badge is not only a reminder for the wearer but it is also a reminder for those who see it. Now more than ever before, we need to be reminded that, our lives are short and we must live them the best way we can i.e. peacefully.

It is clear to me that a few powerful people are making decisions for the less powerful. I don't want to get into the politics of war and terrorism. I am just trying to get a critical mass of people stepping away from fear and moving towards Peaceful co existence, on this beautiful planet of ours.

We only have to affect one generation to change the world.

My aim is for everyone who wants a Peace Badge to have one. Planet Peace invites you to help in distributing these badges, by selling them as a fundraiser for your school or group.

It is most important that the badges are worn everywhere everyday, because when we declare, in huge numbers, our position on Peace we can not be ignored.
